With the situation worsening, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the Indian Army have joined forces to rescue people stranded in waterlogged areas.
In a tragic incident, two youths, who attempted to rescue a family trapped in the floodwaters in Khatima, lost their lives by drowning.
The incident occurred even as the Army and NDRF teams were working tirelessly to evacuate those stranded and provide relief to the affected areas.
