The permission for the morning walk in the Bekal fort comes at a time when Bekal is becoming the tourist hub of north Kerala and is expected to attract the attention of the local residents.
The morning walking passes will help to foster a sense of ownership among local residents, encouraging them to view Bekal Fort as not just a tourist destination but also a community asset.
Time allowed for morning walkers shall be 1 hour 30 minutes, starting from 6am. Fee for morning walker shall be charged ₹50 per month.
