LoP Gupta writes to CVC for probe into DJB irregularities

Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta, has raised allegations of financial mismanagement in the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).

Writing to the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) on Wednesday, he accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of ignoring a letter from the chief vigilance officer (CVO) and claimed it signals a "massive corruption" scandal. Gupta said that the Delhi Chief Secretary had prepared a report outlining financial irregularities in the DJB and that he had initially filed a complaint with the CVC on September 5, 2024, demanding an investigation.
