Ensure no more exodus in Kadapa: Jagan
The New Indian Express Anantapur|December 25, 2024
YSRCP chief and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a meeting with the party corporators and key leaders from the Kadapa Municipal Corporation at Idupulapaya on Tuesday, amidst recent political upheavals.
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE @Kadapa

The meeting was attended by MP YS Avinash Reddy, Kadapa Mayor K Suresh Babu, former Deputy Chief Minister SB Amzath Basha, and MLCs R Ramesh Yadav and Ramachandra Reddy and others. Corporators Paka Suresh and Balaswami Reddy were conspicuous by their absence.

The urgency of the meeting stemmed from eight YSRCP corporators defecting to the TDP, creating unrest within the party. Speculation about more defections has heightened tensions, prompting the YSRCP leadership to act swiftly.

As Avinash Reddy's assurances to the corporators failed, Jagan's direct intervention was necessitated to restore morale and prevent further exits.
