Clash erupts during KSU protest in Kannur

The march turned chaotic when KSU activists attempted to breach police barricades, prompting officers to deploy water cannons three times to disperse the crowd.

The demonstration, which began at 12.30pm from the stadium corner, was halted by police near the commissioner's office, where barricades had been erected to prevent further escalation. Protesters raised multiple demands, including the arrest of SFI members implicated in the ITI clash, withdrawal of cases against KSU activists who were attacked, and closure of alleged "torture rooms" controlled by SFI on college campuses.
