"The approach roads on both sides of the bridge have been fully improved to BM-BC standards, enhancing connectivity to the nearby agricultural zones of Karuvatta and Purakkad panchayats," the MLA said.
The construction was initially sanctioned by the first Pinarayi Vijayan government under PWD Minister G Sudhakaran. The KIIFB project, with an allocation of ₹38 crore, received revised financial approval of ₹54.96 crore in March 2024 from the second Pinarayi government.
