The corporation is planning to desilt all 16 canals and outlets across the city to ensure that water drains off efficiently.
Sources said, waterlogging remains a major issue, especially in low-lying areas. Though the 16 canals across the city is under the water resources department (WRD), city corporation is managing canals and carrying out maintenance works. The canals and outlets waterlogged Sellur, BB Kulam and Madakulam following recent rain.
