AWARENESS campaigns organised by the Lokayukta are leading to a steady rise in the number of complaints filed, said Upa Lokayukta Justice K N Phaneendra. He stated that a proposal has already been submitted to the government to address the shortage of skilled and experienced officers and staff necessary for resolving cases in a timely manner.
Speaking to reporters at the Circuit House here on Sunday, Justice Phaneendra said appointing officials with capabilities akin to those in the CBI, along with retired army personnel, would help strengthen the Lokayukta's functioning. He added that these suggestions have been included in the proposal submitted to the government.
