RBI adds 8 tn gold in Nov; reserves up 73 tn to 786 tn in '24

THE Reserve Bank continued its gold haul, adding 8 tonne to the strategic reserves in November, taking the annual additions in the 11 months to 73 tonne, with this the total reserves stood at 786 tonne.

Its counterparts have added 53 tonne to their reserves in the month, led by Poland at 21 tonne.

As per the World Gold Council's monthly report released on Monday, other significant contributors are Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China, Jordan, Turkey, the Czech Republic, and Ghana. Singapore, however, reduced its gold reserves by 5 tonne.
