ALLEGING that the district collector failed to take action on his petitions, a BJP functionary allegedly tore away his petition in front of the collector's car here on Monday. The incident occurred after BJP unorganised workers general secretary Gomathiraj of Sethukuvaithan village, who came to submit a petition with the collector along with his family, was allegedly not permitted to enter the collectorate premises.
