Muruganandam has superseded many of his senior colleagues in the chief secretary grade. He assumed office as the 50th chief secretary at 9.40 am.
Muruganandam's transfer and elevation came after Shiv Das Meena was appointed as chairperson of the TNRERA on Sunday.
