While the revised prices of Airtel will come into effect from July 3, VIL's new plans will take effect on July 4. This marks the first major tariff hike by telecom service providers since November 2021. With this, all three private telcos have implemented tariff revisions. Airtel justifies the move as essential to achieve a financially sustainable business model, allowing them to invest in network upgrades and 5G rollout.
