DOH records over 117,000 ILI cases

The Department of Health (DOH) has recorded 117,372 cases of influenza-like illness or ILI in the country.

Citing reports from Jan. 1 to Sept. 14, the DOH said the figure is 15 percent lower when compared to the record (137,980) for the same period last year.

It added that 126 deaths due to ILI were reported this year-an 11 percent reduction in fatalities compared to the 142 deaths during the same period in 2023.
