The House of Representatives will conduct an investigation on how the state-run Philippine Health Insurance Corp. has been managing its funds after billions of pesos in supposedly "excess" PhilHealth funds were discovered.

Following them were Sen. Bong Go (54.6 percent), media personality Ben Tulfo (52.7 percent), Sen. Pia Cayetano (46.5 percent), former senator Manny Pacquiao (45 percent), former senator Panfilo Lacson (44.1 percent), television host Willie Revillame (43.6 percent), Sen. Bong Revilla (43.5 percent) and Makati Mayor Abby Binay (40.1 percent).

Also within statistical chances of winning are reelectionist Senators Lito Lapid (39.2 percent), Imee Marcos Tulfo obtained the support of 62.2 percent of the respondents, while Sotto was supported by 59.2 percent.

"Next year, the House will conduct a thorough and impartial investigation on how PhilHealth's funds are being managed. This investigation is not about blame; it is about finding solutions," Speaker Martin Romualdez said in his closing remarks before Congress went on holiday break.

Romualdez assured the public that the probe "will ensure that every peso in PhilHealth's coffers works for the benefit of its members - the hardworking Filipino people who contribute month after month."
