The Department of Migrant Workers continues to expand in reaching OFWs and their families
The home of OFWs in the government

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is upholding its commitment to serving as the home of every overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in the government. It has made significant headway in ensuring better protection and promotion of the welfare and interests of OFWs and their families.

On its third founding anniversary, the DMW continues to expand its reach by inaugurating a One-Stop OFW AKSYON Center. The center houses key frontline services of the DMW and its key partners in government for OFWs and their families. It centralizes and delivers essential full-cycle support and assistance for all OFWs and their families. One of its ongoing projects is the expansion of the OFW Hospital in Pampanga.

President Ferdinand R Marcos, Jr., led the inauguration of the Bagong Pilipinas One-Stop OFW AKSYON Center on December 17, 2024 at the DMW Makati Building located in Malugay Street, Brgy. Bel-Air, Makati City. Also at the inauguration were DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac, government officials, OFWs, and diplomats.

Secretary Cacdac highlighted the Administration's commitment to the Bagong Pilipinas governance agenda, focused on delivering compassionate, efficient, and responsive public service to the Filipino people.

ALL-ENCOMPASSING SUPPORT FOR OFWS
The full-cycle support and assistance for OFWs and their families include services beginning from their departure from the country, throughout their overseas employment, all the way to their return and reintegration with their respective families and communities back home. In addition, major frontline services offered by the DMW include the Balik-Manggagawa processing, reintegration support services, legal assistance, and other necessary support through the DMW AKSYON Fund.
