The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Turekela police station, where authorities filed cases against two labor contractors from Nuapada district for allegedly facilitating the transportation of workers to other states on Tuesday.
This is not an isolated case. Over the past month, police have stopped more than 200 people across Turekela, Khaprakhol, Belpada, and Muribahal as they made their way to Kantabanji Railway Station to migrate to other states.
