ISL: FC Goa face NorthEast United FC, target second spot

The second spot on the Indian Super League (ISL) points table beckons FC Goa as they prepare to lock horns with NorthEast United FC at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday.

Currently, the Gaurs are fourth in the table with 26 points from 14 matches, securing seven victories and five draws. The Highlanders follow them in fifth place, having clinched 23 points from 15 encounters, securing six wins and five draws.

If they manage to win on Tuesday evening, Goa will jump two places to replace former champions Bengaluru FC at the second spot, behind defending champions and league leaders Mohun Bagan Super Giant. Bengaluru are currently on 27 points from 15 matches.

FC Goa will aim to extend their unbeaten away record in the league, while NorthEast United FC will look to maintain their strong home form against the Gaurs.
