A goods train with empty rakes flouted signals while entering Onda village station in Bankura and barged into the wagons of a stationary freight train that was parked in the loop line at Onda of South Eastern Railway in Bankura in the early morning hours today.

The mishap took place at at 4:00 a.m. today and comes weeks after the Coromandel Express disaster in Odhisa's Balasore that shook the nation.

Seven empty wagons along with the locomotive derailed.

The mishap occurred during shunting operation of the stationary PQRS wagons.
