'Referees punished for supporting wrestlers'

Amid row over the allegations of sexual harassment against the President of the Wrestlers Federation of India (WFI) Brij Bhushan, three prominent referees of international repute have now come out in open claiming that they have been punished for supporting the protesting top Indian wrestlers sitting on dharna at Jantar Mantar for the past fifteen days. They have not been engaged for any tournament since 6 April.

Jagbeer Singh, Narender Kumar and Bijender Singh are the three referees who are qualified to judge Olympics, Asian Games and commonwealth games are out of job since 6 April.

However, there were several tournaments that have taken place since then. From 16-18 April there were national championships and the Senior Ranking Series took place in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. They have also been removed from the official Whatsapp group of technical officers.
