Opposition parties of West Bengal, Assam, and Tripura should cooperate with the central government, along with the state governments, to prevent infiltration and terrorist activities from Bangladesh without politicising the issue, stated Swami Vishokananda Bharati Maharaj, the chief convener of the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday.
He expressed strong concern over the arrests of a series of terrorists from Bangladesh's dreaded terrorist groups in West Bengal and Assam, as well as the arrest of numerous Bangladeshi infiltrators.
Swami Vishokananda will inaugurate the royal bath of the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj when it starts. Ahead of that, he is visiting Kolkata to invite the heads of various monastic organisations in West Bengal to the Mahakumbh.
