Siddaramaiah claims evidence against CT Ravi

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday disclosed that his government has both audio and video evidence proving BJP MLC CT Ravi used derogatory language against Minister for Women and Child Development, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, on the floor of the Karnataka Legislative Council during the winter session in Belagavi on 19 December.

Speaking to the media, Siddaramaiah said, "We have collected substantial evidence, including audio and video recordings, showing that Ravi used highly offensive and abusive language against Hebbalkar. Several MLCs were witnesses to this disgraceful behaviour. We are treating this as a criminal offense and are investigating it thoroughly."

The Chief Minister expressed perplexity over Ravi's demand for a judicial inquiry, questioning, "If clear evidence already exists, why is he calling for a judicial inquiry? The matter should be examined based on the available evidence, and those responsible must be held accountable."
