SINGER SAYS HELLO AGAIN AS SHE KICKS OFF EUROPEAN STADIUM RUN

HELLO, it’s me… Adele’s show opener as she kicked off a 10-night residency in Munich could not have been more spot on.

It was her first live appearance on stage in mainland Europe for eight long years – and was greeted with thunderous applause in more ways than one.

Moments before the nervous star arrived on her open-air stage to perform on Friday, the heavens opened.

Thunder rumbled as Hello was followed by Rumour Has It – which Adele ordered the band to start again, saying: “I came in too early. I underestimated how f*****g scared I am.”

Then the heavy rain-soaked train of her deep blue dress had to come off.

“I checked the weather and it said no rain so I put this on. Now I look like a right fanny,” she laughed. Out front, around 75,000 adoring fans laughed with her.

And after spotting a couple proposing after Water Under the Bridge, Adele – all bouncing curls and winged eyeliner – stopped the show.

“How long have you been together?” she asked. “17 years? F**k me, what took you so long?!”

And then the band – plus orchestra – played on, with all the spine-tingling vocals and dazzling pyrotechnics you’d expect from an Adele show, plus what is said to be the world’s biggest LED screen, a 100m-long catwalk and a walkway to a second stage.
