MATT TAYLOR is still scoring goals - but, more importantly, he is still learning.
At 32, with a strike-rate of around one-in-three, the man who should once have picked up the Football League's Golden Boot award is viewing tomorrow's mountainous FA Cup task against Arsenal as an opportunity.
And as a theatre for education where the hope is that Oxford United will not be schooled.
Taylor said his goal against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup quarter-final, four years ago, gave him "one of the greatest buzzes" of his career.
And now landed with the dubious honour of stopping the current Premier League leaders, Taylor is excited at what he might pick up.
"You wait for these opportunities, big games against the best," he said.
"You want to see how they do, how they perform. We want to see how they move, what they do on the pitch, to pick up on the dark arts and not-so-dark arts.
"It takes me back to when I was a kid here. All I wanted to do was play for Oxford United, so when I was released at the age of 16, I was heartbroken.
