Have you Met the new royal double act?

IT was a double act the likes of which has never been seen before... the new King and the Prince of Wales teaming up to chat to weary mourners who had queued through the cold night.

Charles and William appeared on an impromptu walkabout on Lambeth Bridge yesterday and were greeted by spontaneous screams of “We love you” and “God Save the King”.

The new monarch also visited a Met police station to thank officers for their work ahead of tomorrow’s funeral.

In the queue, Yela Alvarado, clutching a Paddington Bear brought from her native Peru, wept as she met Charles.

“I was so emotional I couldn’t talk,” said Yela, 62. “When King Charles saw Paddington, he said, ‘How marvellous’.”
