TORY cuts have left police forces on the verge of a mental health crisis, a senior officer has warned.
Exclusive figures released by the Labour Party reveal the number of stricken policemen and women off more than doubled in the past decade.
Last year, 730,000 sick days were down to mental health problems - up from 320,000 in 2012/13, according to Home Office data obtained through Freedom of Information requests.
