Mum jets off to beat NHS wait...and private fees

A WOMAN who took her daughter to the Costa del Sol for dental treatment says the whole trip cost less than going private here.

Elena Veysey and Eva, 16, flew from Bristol to Malaga to beat the NHS waiting list. They were warned Eva could have to wait up to two years for two teeth to be taken out unless Elena paid £300 for her to go private.

But instead, a relative recommended a dental clinic that offered an appointment within five days - for £70.

Elena, 45, said: "The Ryanair flight from Bristol to Malaga was about £25 there and £39 for a return and we got an overnight stay on Booking.​com for £40. It was fantastic.
