PREMIER League ace Michail Antonio was in hospital last night after being trapped inside his Ferrari for 55 minutes in a horrific lunchtime car crash.
West Ham officials said the striker was in a "stable condition", adding: "Michail is conscious and communicating and is currently under close supervision." His club, which was not due to play yesterday, sent a public message of support to the 34-year-old, saying their "thoughts and prayers" were with him and his family.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the single-vehicle crash on a country road in Epping, Essex, at lunchtime and worked to release the dad of four from the wreckage.
Photos showed massive damage to the front of the supercar. After being freed by around 1.45pm, Antonio was taken to a central London hospital by ambulance.
