MP’s fury at police over shooting of unarmed rapper in car chase

PEOPLE are afraid of the police after a Met gun cop shot dead an unarmed black man, his MP says.

Bell Ribeiro-Addy accused officers of failing to learn lessons over the death of rapper Chris Kaba in Streatham, South London, on September 5. Mr Kaba, a 24-year-old dad-to-be, was the fourth black man shot dead by cops in London since 2005.

It took four days for police watchdog the Independent Office for Police Conduct to begin a homicide investigation and another two for the Met to suspend the officer in question.
