Hyderabad: Vishal Sharma, 27, employed with a private finance company in Hyderabad may have been aware of the dirty designs of loan app sharks and the shame and blackmail that accompanied a debtor’s inability to cough up double-bubble interest. But he too was dragged into the inky abyss of a loan trap and died by suicide after harassment turned unbearable. And he had become a father, just months ago and life was looking up after two years of a debilitating pandemic.
His wife, Sonu Devi, 21, recalls how she was devastated after returning with her four-month-old daughter to her husband’s home in Mangalhat.
