Hyderabad: KTR said the state had allotted 7,200 acres to Hindustan Cables Ltd, Hindustan Fluorocarbons, Indian Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited, HMT, Cement Corporation of India (CCI) and Ordnance Factories.
"The BJP government is trying to sell these companies and PSUs as part of its disinvestment plans. The value of these land parcels in open market is Rs 40,000 crore and nearly Rs 5,000 crore government value," he said in a letter to Union finance and corporate affairs minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday.
The state had allotted land to these companies at marginal prices and, in a few cases, offered for free as it would generate employment for locals and also facilitate industrial development.
