Kejriwal said the AAP governments in Delhi and Punjab were doing their bit to prevent air quality from deteriorating further, but the Centre’s contribution was missing. He added that the Air Quality Index of major cities in north Indian states was almost similar.
“Delhi government and Aam Aadmi Party have not caused pollution. It’s a problem of all north Indian states and the Prime Minister needs to come forward and take the initiative to find a solution,” Kejriwal said.
The AAP national convener also accused the BJP-led central government for its “anti-farmer” policies. He alleged that the Centre was intentionally not doing anything to solve the problem of stubble burning because farmers ran a campaign against the party.
