‘FILM BAZAAR OFFERS A UNIQUE PLATFORM TO FILMMAKERS TO INTRODUCE AND DISCUSS THEIR WORK’

From scripting stage to open pitch, filmmakers have been taking their films to Film Bazaar in various stages of development. In the previous years, many acclaimed and successful films were presented at Film Bazaar – from The Lunchbox, Court, Qissa, Masaan and Thithi to Fire In The Mountain, Shankar’s Fairies, Pedro, Paka: River Of Blood and the recent Busan film fest winner Shivamma. Anurag Thakur, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, says, “The Film Bazaar is a crucial link in the chain of the global filmmaking industry and for our creative economy. In essence, it is the converging point for film buyers and sellers from all over the world, with a focus on discovering, supporting and showcasing South Asian content and talent in filmmaking, production and distribution.”
