The Canon EOS R6, which was released in July 2020, was a well-received camera, especially among wedding photographers. Its successor, the Canon EOS R6 Mark II, was launched in November 2022 and offers significant improvements and upgrades over the previous model. With its advanced features and versatile performance, the Canon EOS R6 Mark II is a powerful tool for capturing stunning landscapes, portraits, and action shots, making it an ideal choice for both daily use and professional photography.
The Canon EOS R6 Mark II is available at a price of ₹2,43,995 for the body only, ₹2,71,995 with the Canon RF24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM lens, and ₹3,43,995 with the RF24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens. One of the main improvements of the R6 Mark II over the previous R6 model is its 24-megapixel full-frame sensor, which offers a shooting speed of 40 fps, compared to the 20-megapixel full-frame sensor and 20 fps of the R6. It’s worth noting that the R6 Mark II does not feature a stacked sensor like the Canon EOS R3, but still offers significant upgrades for photographers looking for highperformance and advanced features.
Look, Body and Feel
It’s important to note that the design and ergonomics of the Canon EOS R6 Mark II are unchanged from the R6. Both cameras have the same dimensions and weight, providing a familiar and comfortable experience for users of the previous model. Additionally, both cameras are equipped with the same DIGIX X processor, further emphasising the similarities in their design and functionality. The camera’s grip remains as comfortable and secure as before, making it easy to handle during prolonged shooting sessions.
