The Shadows and Highlights sliders are fantastic controls for recovering detail in Lightroom, but they can sometimes be a blunt instrument when dealing with high-contrast images. But when combined with the Point Curve and Parametric Tone Curve, your ability to target detail recovery to specific tonal ranges is greatly increased. It’s safe to say that there’s more to the Tone Curve than meets the eye.
