When transport gets extreme, I start to get travel sick. I'm fine in a car, and in the past, put me in a helicopter I’m all good too, but if you put me in a helicopter with a camera, then within 10 minutes I'm white as a sheet!
It's springtime and Rachel and I have gone to the Netherlands to stay with Arjan, a good photography friend of mine. The trip is about visiting as many record shops as possible, as well as photographing some of the Netherlands most beautiful cities. The bonus add-on is photographing tulips and grape hyacinths that grow in abundance in the surrounding countryside. We are also heading to the Keukenhof, a beautiful garden complex which has some great opportunities for flower and garden photography. It is a renowned horticultural extravaganza and a chance for me to get some greeting card images.
I have my usual kit bag with me – my Canon EOS 5D Mk IV DSLR, EF 16-35mm f/4L IS, EF 24-70mm f/4L IS, plus EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II and an EF 1.4x III Extender.

Whether you want to capture a painting like the above, digitise old prints or reproduce any kind of canvas, there's real skill in capturing artwork with your camera.
