ENGLAND

SIX NATIONS HIGH

The rivalries in the Six Nations are what gives the tournament extra magic and England-Wales always add spice. The Red Roses’ record win in the tournament over Wales came in 2005 and saw Jo Yapp’s captaincy era start with a bang. England travelled to Cardiff Arms Park and executed an 81-0 victory. Yapp went on to lead the Red Roses to the 2006 Rugby World Cup final, where they would lose out to New Zealand.

SIX NATIONS LOW

England head coach Gary Street stood down from his role in 2015 just five months after winning the World Cup and the departure clearly affected the team’s form. The Red Roses recorded their worst-ever showing in the Six Nations, coming fourth after losing to Wales, Ireland and France. Since 2015 England haven’t finished outside of the top two and have won the last five titles.

FORM GUIDE

England haven’t lost a game since the World Cup final in NZ in 2022. At the recent WXV1 tournament they beat all three of their opponents with a convincing 42-7 win over Australia, a dominant 45-12 result over Canada and an impressive 33-12 win against the Black Ferns. They are tipped to continue their good form and will be favourites for another Grand Slam this time out.
