Club captain Hogg, 35, has been with the Terriers for more than a decade and is 12th on the League One outfit’s all-time appearance list.
A fixture in Michael Duff ’s side at the start of the campaign, the former Aston Villa and Watford man has recently lost his place to Kasumu.
But whilst they may be rivals for a shirt, Kasumu is full of respect for Hogg and says that watching his skipper’s never-say-die displays has been inspirational.
“I’ve been playing alongside Hoggy for the last two seasons and you learn so much,” says the 25-year-old, who arrived from MK Dons in the summer of 2022.
“He’s had a great, great career. He’s such a leader, a great professional and obviously you see when he plays, he puts 100 per cent in, literally fights for the shirt.
Intensity
"You can see that intensity in everything he does, on and off the pitch, even in how he carries himself.
