INJURED Harrogate Town captain Josh Falkingham is backing his team-mates to cause an FA Cup upset against the club he admits will always be in his blood.
Rothwell-born Falkingham, 34, is a lifelong Leeds United fan and was on his home-town club's books from the age of seven to 19.
He even coaches the Championship promotion chasers' under-16 side a responsibility he was carrying out when he learned that Harrogate would be making the 20-mile trip to Elland Road for a mouthwatering third round tie.
Devastatingly, five days later, the combative midfielder suffered ankle ligament damage trying to block a shot that led to the first goal in a 3-0 home defeat to AFC Wimbledon.
He is now facing three months on the sidelines and told The FLP: "When the draw was made, lots of notifications pinged on my watch and a big cheer went up from the parents on the touchline, so I knew what had happened.
