“Especially given the opponents. Middlesbrough are that good, I actually left out a lot of my pre-match analysis. I had a guy at Preston (where Boro won 4-0) and when I asked him for his report he said ‘You don’t want to know, gaffer’. So I just didn’t show the lads.
