The life of a keeper can be tough. With just that one starting berth and managers often putting experience before youth, it can be difficult to get minutes.
In his Wigan days, the Welshman had loan spells with Witton Albion, Rhyl, North Ferriby United, Sutton United, Macclesfield Town and Cheltenham Town. He then signed permanently for the latter and made 27 league appearances in a season before joining Walsall in June of last year.
The 26-year-old has since gone from strength to strength between the Saddlers sticks, first under compatriot Michael Flynn and now Mat Sadler. He's delighted he made the decision to move to the Poundland Bescot Stadium in search of game time.
