The 21-year-old Liverpool loanee has been an important presence in Liam Rosenior’s side this season after sealing a deadline-day loan move to the Tigers.
His passing accuracy has caught the eye and his ability to control games has earned regular praise from his manager.
Last month, he stepped further into the spotlight when he scored in Hull’s final two games - in the 2-2 comeback draw against Swansea and the 4-1 win over Rotherham.
“It’s a very proud moment for myself,” he said, on receiving the Young Player accolade. “When I got the call, I was buzzing. I didn’t expect it to be honest. I’ve worked hard this last month and I feel like my confidence has shone through.
