OpenAI’s ChatGPT represents some of the most sophisticated AI technology available, and incorporating it into iOS, iPadOS, and macOS offers significant productivity benefits. However, this integration also requires careful handling to maintain the privacy standards that Apple users expect.
Apple is embedding ChatGPT into various user experiences within its ecosystem, such as Siri and system-wide writing tools. This integration allows users to leverage ChatGPT’s capabilities directly within Apple applications, including image and document understanding without switching between different tools. Siri can utilize ChatGPT’s intelligence for complex queries, ensuring users are asked for consent before data like documents or photos is sent to ChatGPT.
