HOT FIVE #1
HEIR OF THE DOG LG
Artificial Intelligence Agent
Ask a load of dog owners what they love about being idolised by their four-legged friend, and being greeted every day like a returning war hero is sure to come up at least once or twice. One of the worst things? The fact that they eventually die, leaving a big fluffy hole in your life. Sadly LG hasn't come up with a way to make dogs immortal, but its latest smart home gadget might be the best way to feel the joy without the pain.
This two-wheeled voice-controlled robot is powered by Qualcomm's Robotics RB5 Platform, so it can recognise faces using its built-in camera and even analyse what kind of mood you're in based on your facial expressions and tone of voice. It's more than just a solo welcoming committee, though: it can provide transport updates, weather forecasts and calendar reminders before you leave the house in the morning; and while you're out, it'll patrol your gaff and ping your phone if it spots any open windows or notices that you've left the living-room lamp on.
Perhaps best of all, there's no chance of it weeing all over the floor when you get back after a long day at work.

Pic and choose
The OneStep was known as the Land Camera 1000 outside of the United States, so you also get a tile that allows you to change the name on the front if you want.
Pic holes in it
There are some neat little details, including a slot on top that mimics the one used for attaching the flash to the real thing-even if you don't get a flash with the Lego version.
Pic your brains
Wondering why this camera seems strangely familiar? It inspired the original Instagram app icon back in 2010. They dumped it within a year, but the colour strip stayed until 2016.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess - It's really not what you expect from a major publisher these days, but Capcom's curious blend of action, real-time strategy and tower defence is one of the most original games you'll play all year
It's really not what you expect from a major publisher these days, but Capcom's curious blend of action, real-time strategy and tower defence is one of the most original games you'll play all year. From its colourful costumes to a pastoral message of healing nature, Kunitsu-Gami is proudly Japanese in its inspirations. Your masked warrior is on a mission to help a divine maiden purge a mountain of an evil 'defilement'... but this is no Link/Zelda dynamic: you'll also rely on villagers to help you beat back monsters.

Cygni: All Guns Blazing

Scott Contessa Voltage eRide 910
This is an electric trail bike designed with women in mind – not that you’d know that just by looking at it, because thankfully Scott hasn’t adopted the insulting ‘shrink it and pink it’ approach that many brands take.
Squareless whisper
This budget smartwatch sequel from the Nothing sub-brand no longer looks like an Apple Watch wannabe... but can it improve on the original?

CAMBRIDGE AUDIO EVO ONE
