The ATH-M20x has been Audio-Technica's best-selling wired professional studio headphones, and now the brand has come up with a Bluetooth version of the same. Unlike most Audio-Technica products we tested in the past, this is one of the most affordable headphones from the brand.
The M20xXBT is an over-the-ear wireless closed back headphones and offers professional grade soft earpads. The ear cups have a flat profile with a polycarbonate base. The plastics do not feel premium but are certainly not the cheap and brittle type either. These parts should last for quite a long time if you treat the device with some respect. The headband has soft cushioning like most devices, and the metal sliders are easy to adjust. The earcups tilt freely by what appears to be about 45 degrees and also offer some degrees of rotation to nicely adjust to the contours of your face. The left ear cup houses the three buttons for power and volume control along with a 3.5mm jack for wired aux connection, USB Type-C charging port, and the status indicator light.
