Rx for reverse sneezing
After sniffing in dust or pollen, Fido is rapidly sucking in air. The sound is alarming, but this “reverse sneezing” is a normal reaction as he tries to clear an irritant from his nasal passages. To help him out, gently stroke his neck and cover one nostril for a few seconds. This helps him swallow and clear out the irritant. Once Fido exhales through his nose, the attack is likely over.
