She started out her career as a Bond girl, but most of us will always associate Jane Seymour with her five-year role in Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman.
The show was a standout hit in the ’90s and won Jane many fans who are still loyal to her today.
Talking to the 71-year-old actress, there doesn’t seem to have been much change between the Jane we saw 30 years ago and the one sitting in front of her laptop camera today.
Shortly before she talks to the Weekly, Jane was photographed in a one-piece blue swimsuit, bathing elephants in Thailand, and the pictures went viral underneath headings such as “ageless beauty” and “shows off her incredible toned frame”.
“I was there with my grandchildren,” explains Jane. “I had no make-up or anything on, and the next thing someone calls me and says, ‘Why are you number one trending on Yahoo?’”
But it is undeniable that when it comes to ageing, Jane is doing it very well.
So well, she reveals, she has never worked so much in her life and she’s happy to admit that these days, a lot of her work involves wearing a grey wig.
“I feel magnificent when I put it on,” she says. “I wore it for my character doing The Kominsky Method and Michael Douglas, who I have known for 40 years, came up and introduced himself. I had to say, ‘Michael, it’s me!’
“I own that wig now because I think there’s something very freeing about being grey.”
Jane leans into the camera and pulls her light-brown highlighted fringe up to show her grey regrowth.
