Whether she was sitting side by side with her friend Princess Diana or on the arm of her famous cricketer-turned-politician husband Imran Khan, Jemima Khan was in every newspaper and magazine gossip column throughout the late '90s and early noughties.
Back then, she was seen as a beautiful, wealthy and fabulously well-connected socialite who'd managed to snag herself one of the world's most eligible bachelors. But Jemima, now 49, has proven she's much more than a pretty face with a famous husband.
Recently, the mother-of-two revealed her hidden talents with the release of her first movie, a romcom called What's Love Got to Do With It?, starring Lily James.
She exited her high-profile marriage in 2004 and few have been aware that Jemima has spent the past 20 years building a career as a London-based journalist and documentary maker.
And even less well-known, for most of that time she's also been sharpening her skills as a screenwriter. What's Love Got to Do With It? - a cross-cultural, boy-next-door story about an arranged marriage - is the result and the film has already won the Best Comedy award at the Rome Film Festival.
Jemima says the idea for the movie came when she was researching a magazine article on arranged marriages and she had plenty of knowledge to draw on after living in Pakistan for nine years.
She was just 21 when she met former Pakistani cricket captain Imran at a London restaurant in 1995. At 43, he was 22 years older than Jemima, the daughter of financier Sir James Goldsmith, but within months she'd converted to Islam, said "I do" to her handsome beau and moved to Lahore.
