Royal expert Tom Bower on why he thinks it will all end in tears
'THERE'S NO FUTURE for Harry & Meghan'

In 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to California with big plans after stepping down as senior royals. But fast forward just three years and it seems things haven’t quite worked out how Harry and Meghan had hoped. The couple’s lucrative deal with Spotify has ended, Harry has now been left out of the relaunch of Travalyst, a non-profit eco-tourism organisation he launched in 2019 - albeit he is still listed on their website as its ‘founder and patron’ – and Meghan has reportedly been snubbed by Dior. Far from the celebrity lifestyle they perhaps wanted, the couple now appear to be somewhat lost – and it’s even been reported to be affecting their marriage.

Now, in a no holds-barred interview with Woman, royal expert Tom Bower reveals where he thinks Meghan and Harry have gone wrong, telling us, ‘I’m sure there is stress and it will affect their relationship. They had the illusion that they could play the royal card, in the end they had to play the anti-royal card and there’s a limit to that. The novelty has worn off. It’s hard for people to work with them.’

‘Tired’ Meghan

With their Spotify deal imploding Tom fears their dwindling lifestyle will begin to grate on Meghan, with the author saying, ‘Her record is of tiring of men and of people altogether,’ adding that Harry’s lack of work could also cause an issue: ‘I don’t think he can sustain anything.’ Tom adds, ‘I think she’s far too calculated and hard-headed to do anything that would damage her status and what she’s set up.’
