Much-loved by her fans for being so open and honest, Stacey Solomon is one of the most relatable celebs. And while many may think she has an idyllic life - a loving husband in Joe Swash, five beautiful children and a successful career - Stacey 34, has opened up about how it's exactly these things that make her anxiety worse.
"The more you grow, the more you care about it,' she said. 'I don't think the pressure eases up at all, in fact it builds.
Feeling anxious
Stacey's anxiety began when she gave birth to her eldest son Zachary in 2008. Just 18 at the time, Stacey recalled how she suddenly realised her mortality when she became a mum, explaining, 'I was a kid, I didn't feel my own mortality, like I could jump off a cliff and I'd be fine. Then I had Zach and giving birth was so traumatic, I instantly realised I was human and went to thinking, "I could die at any point. I am mortal.” And that just made me so anxious.’
Sixteen years later, the star still suffers with that same fear – and this is what has led to her love of organisation. ‘Ultimately, there are things that are totally out of your control. The way I manage those is by controlling the things I can,’ she said. ‘So if I want to make sure my knickers are folded a certain way and that makes me feel good then fine.
