CROSTINI
Simple to make and with a variety of toppings to choose from, crostini are a speedy canapé essential. This will be enough for all three toppings below.

COOK 10 MINS
- 2 skinny baguettes, cut into 1.5cm slices
- 3tbsp olive oil
Heat the oven to 200C Fan/Gas 7. Put the slices on a baking tray, drizzle with the oil and season. Cook for 10 mins until they are golden and crisp.
SWEET CHILLI FIG
Think sweet and savoury, with a warming kick of chilli heat.

- 65g cream cheese
- 80g soft goat's cheese
- 1 tbsp chilli jam
- 16 crostini
- 2 figs, each cut into 8 wedges, or fig chutney
- Runny honey, to drizzle
Roughly combine the cream cheese, goat's cheese and chilli jam, and season. Spread the mixture over the crostinis, then top with a wedge of fig or blob of fig chutney. Drizzle with honey.
HOT SMOKED SALMON
Salmon is a party food favourite, and we love the gentle balance of flavours of this classic nibble.

PREP 10 MINS
- 120g crème fraiche
- 20g bunch dill, most finely chopped, with a few fronds reserved for garnish
- 2tbsp capers, roughly chopped
- Squeeze lemon juice
- 16 crostini 1
- 00g hot smoked salmon, flaked
Combine the crème fraiche, dill, capers and lemon juice. Spread evenly over the crostini, then top with a flake of salmon and a frond of dill.
BEEF TOASTIE
Rich and cheesy with a subtle fiery horseradish kick.
